Nancy J. Du Broy, (nee-Placer), 72, of Elyria passed away Sunday September 15, 2019 at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a brief illness. She was born November 21, 1946 in Sistersville, WV. And was an Elyria resident for most of her life. Nancy was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Thomas; daughters, Roxanne Durante, Kelly (Michael) Knight, Holly Du Broy, Samantha (Greg) Hamilton and Tonya Herne (husband, Shawn Hapanowicz); 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patty Schafer and Linda Herne. The family will receive friends Thursday September 19, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN. 38105-1905.
