Minnie G. "Gale" Winningham (nee: Michaels) 67, of Wellington passed away unexpectedly on Friday November 15, 2024 at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin.  She was born August 10, 1957 in Elyria.  Gale was a 1975 North Ridgeville High School graduate, and retired from Elyria City Schools where she worked in the cafeteria.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, and playing bingo.  Survivors include her two sons; Andy and Matthew Winningham, a step son; Ryan Winningham of Dubai,  a grandchild; Natalie Gregory.  Additional survivors include her companion; Ivan Roberts Sr., two sisters; Linda Jobe (Stanley), Betty Matus (Tom), and a brother; Billy J. Michaels. Gale was preceded in death by her parents; William and Minnie (nee: Smith) Michaels, a sister; Shirley, and a brother; Homer Michaels.  The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday November 21, 2024 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626 where funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday November 22, 2024. Pastor Ray Lovett will officiate.  Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Wellington.
