Michele D. Leonard (nee: Morris), age 74, of Elyria, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Fairview Hospital. She was born on November 2, 1948 in Barberton, Ohio to parents Enoch and Verea Mae (nee: Cramer). Michele worked as a pre-school teacher and a loan officer at Professional Mortgage. She had a profound love for her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Steven; daughters, Beverly Ann (Daniel Paul) Allen, Ronda Michele (Edward "Shorty" Gene) Justice, Cynthia Louise (Jeffrey Allen) Smith, Angela Denise (Wayne Denver) Rutherford; son, Richard Douglas, 11 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4 PM – 7 PM at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State RT 57) in Elyria. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 11 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Payne will officiate. Burial will follow at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
