Michael P. Salva, 56, of Elyria passed away Wednesday December 12, 2012 at Lakewood Hospital following a brief illness. He was born January 4, 1956 in Lorain and was a Elyria resident for 33 years. Mike was employed at B.F. Goodrich in Avon Lake as a chemical operator for 22 years and enjoyed woodworking, playing music and star gazing. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Diane (nee-Hausrod); daughter, Katie Salva of Elyria; son, Bryan (Becca) Salva of Elyria; sister, RoseAnne Elbert of West Virginia; brother, Paul Salva of Lorain. He was preceded in death by sisters, Marge Campagna and Jean Trosper and brothers, Joe and John Salva. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
