Michael J. Hall 64, of Elyria passed at home on Thursday April 7, 2016 following a short illness. He was born May 24,1951 in Cleveland. Mike served in the U.S. Navy. He cherished spending time with his family, and enjoyed history, Disney World, and watching The Cleveland Indians, The Ohio State Buckeyes. Survivors include his wife of sixteen years; Melinda J. "Mindy" (nee: Webster), three daughters; Stacie Ratliff (Larry) of Elyria, Stephanie Thompson (Arsie) of Lorain, Carrie Smith (Scott) of Elyria. Additional survivors include two sisters; Kathleen Getz (Bill) and Carla Hall both of Cleveland, five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by a daughter; Jessica Skye, and his parents; Baird and Barbara (nee: Riegelmayer) Hall. A Celebration of Mike's Life will be 7:00 PM Wednesday April 13, 2016 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria, OH 44035 where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until time of services at 7:00 PM Wednesday. Pastor Dan Reinke (retired) will officiate. V.F.W. Post #1079 will provide full military honors at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Mike's memory can be sent to the family in care of the funeral home.
