Michael Corcoran, 73, of Sheffield Village, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake after a brief battle with lung cancer. Mike was born on October 30, 1951 in Berea, Ohio to Charles S. and Miriam Corcoran.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

Mike's career took him from working as a print setter at the Cleveland Press to the shipyards of Lorain to the installation of printing presses at newspapers all over the country. He was a man of integrity, honesty and great generosity leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. His gentle kindness along with his deep love for animals and the outdoors will leave a mark on us that will never fade. He was a dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous and will be missed by those he touched by driving them to meetings, sharing donuts, or through his many leads.  He would have celebrated 18 years of sobriety in August.

He is survived by his wife Brenda; daughter, Michelle Corcoran; son, Brian (Theresa) Corcoran; grandchildren, Brandon, Hope, Seth, Caleb, Samuel, Caroline, Jaedon, Athena and Josiah and five great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Louise (Mike) Aimone, JoAnne (Mike) Szoke, Mark (Barb) Corcoran and Steve Corcoran.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Miriam and his brothers, Peter and CT Corcoran.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57) Elyria, Ohio 44035. Reverend Father John P. Seabold, pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church will officiate. A private burial will take place at Woodvale Cemetery in Middleburg Heights at a later date.
