Lena "Maxine" Watkins, (nee-Jordan), 85, of Elyria passed away Thursday January 30, 2025 at the Woods of French Creek.

She was born September 11, 1939 in Replete, WV. She was the daughter of the late Ora and Myrtle (Fischer) Jordan. She was an Elyria resident for most of her life. Maxine retired from the Kroger Co. after working 26 years. Maxine enjoyed working at the church with rummage events and helping take care of others in need, helping with meals and being involved with church activities. She was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 1079 and Women of the Moose. She attended Solid Rock Community Church.

Survivors include her sister Sue Carpenter and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years William "Robert" Watkins in 2016 and brothers, Jesse, Hale, Leon and Ray Jordan and sisters Nina Springer, Wilda Roby and Madeline Cowger Gomez.

Family will receive friends on Thursday February 6, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 12:30 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. at State Rt. 57), Elyria.

Rev. Kevin Coleman of Solid Rock Community Church will Officiate.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
