Maureen J. Patouhas (nee: McDevitt) 78, of Elyria passed away on Monday December 18, 2017 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange following a long illness. She was born January 30, 1939 in Binghamton, NY., and was second to the youngest of six children. Maureen was very competitive in sports; she participated in shot-put and softball, holding the farthest softball throw record at Hallstead High School. Maureen also participated for many years on a women's bowling league, winning many championships. Maureen moved to Ohio in 1964, and worked at The Elyria Country Club for ten years. She treasured spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of fifty four years; Charles G., a daughter; Teresa M. Masters of Elyria, a son; Demetrius C. Patouhas of Elyria. Additional survivors include five grandchildren, one great grandchild, a sister; Sarah "Sally" Cranage of AL., a brother; James McDevitt of Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. Maureen was preceded in death by her daughter; Dianna Lynn McDevitt-Ramirez, her parents; Leo J. and Roselyn McDevitt, and three brothers; Daniel "Danny" Eugene McDevitt, Edward Leo McDevitt, and Robert "Bob" McDevitt. A Funeral Mass will be held at a later date at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Great Bend, PA.
