Mathew J. Jurco, 32, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 15, 2013 at his home. He was born April 3, 1981 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Matt worked in the Service Department for the City of Elyria, was a 1999 Elyria High School graduate and enjoyed music and loved his dog, Nesta. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 6 years, Marley (nee-Parks); parents, John and Barb Jurco of Elyria; sisters, Wendy (Tim) Barrett of Avon and Anna Strawderman of Elyria; maternal grandmother, Beatrice Neff of North Ridgeville; paternal grandmother, Wanda Jurco of North Ridgeville; mother-in-law, Tina Pruitt of Elyria; father-in-law, Jerry Parks of Elyria; sister-in laws, Marcie Parks and Marissa Parks, both of Elyria; 3 nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Calvin Neff and Albert Jurco. The family will receive friends Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). The Rev. Charles Diedrick, pastor, will be the Celebrant.
