Mary E. Sherrill, (nee-Orr), 75, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday November 26, 2013 at her home following a brief illness. She was born March 2, 1938 in Chesaning, MI. and was a LaGrange resident for most of her life. Mary enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Leann (Randy) Cromer of Penfield; sons, Vernon (Scott Carpenter) Sherrill of Lakewood, Olan Sherrill Jr. of LaGrange, Howard (Emily Kendle) Sherrill of Oberlin and Keith (Marie) Sherrill of Wellington; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Erma Orr; brothers, Dave, Clifton, John, Dwight, Robert, and Dennis Orr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olan Sr. in 1999, granddaughter, Bailee Ann Cromer in 2002, sister, Patsy Ann Gauthier and brothers, Gerald and Terry Lee Orr. The family will receive friends on Sunday 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Monday December 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Noel Hack, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of LaGrange will Officiate.
