Mary A. Schneider, (nee-Winter), 85, of Elyria passed away Sunday March 5, 2017 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake following a brief illness. She was born October 11, 1931 in Louisville, KY. And was an Elyria resident for most of her life. Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria, formerly worked at Bayorek's Trophy's and Engraving and was very active at the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elyria. Survivors include her daughters, Victoria (Gary) Kayatin, Nancy Cuson (Steve Baker), and Joanna Schneider; sons, Timothy (Lori) Schneider, Drew Schneider and Mark (Kim Ross) Schneider; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Murrell Grammer and Jean Weidner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald on September 17, 2016, sisters, Stella McCune and Lorraine Bratcher and brothers, Donald and Charles Winter. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57,), Elyria. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday March 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). The Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick, pastor, and the Rev. Fr. Ric Schneider O.F.M., will be the Concelebrates. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
