Mary L. Radca (nee Thome), 91, of Elyria passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at University Hospital-Main Campus following a brief illness. She was born May 26, 1926 in N. Ridgeville. Mary was a member of the Moose , Senior fellowship Club and Senior group of St. Jude, all in Elyria. She enjoyed quilting, needlepoint, cards, in her younger days bareback horse riding, she also was a nanny taking care of the grandchildren and also took care of her parents till their passing. Mary was a very active member of St. Jude Church attending weekly and Holiday masses, at St. Jude she also helped with the cooking and Bereavement group. She was a farmer in N. Ridgeville and helped with the military support group during the Iraq War. Survivors include her daughter Linda (Alan) Schultz of Elyria; sons Gary (Patricia) of Vermilion, Michael (Lynn) of Grafton, Ricky (Kimberly) of LaGrange; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 1992. Family will receive friends 10 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM Monday, February 19, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church 590 Poplar Street Elyria, Ohio 44035. Rev. Fr. Frank Kosem pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial St. Peter Cemetery (N. Ridgeville). Arrangements were entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria, 440-322-4626.
