Mary A. Phillips, (nee-Coon), 62, of Elyria passed away Saturday February 4, 2017 at Holy Family Home in Parma following a long illness. She was born May 22, 1954 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. A 1973 Elyria High School graduate, Mary enjoyed toll and oil painting and gardening. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Rick; daughters, Amy (Gregory) Nelson and Julie Phillips; grandchildren, Aubrey and Ella; mother, Ruby Davis; sister, Linda Viogjack; brother, Roger Coon. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Okey Davis. The family will receive friends 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday February 8, 2017 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Specialists 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
