Mary L. "Lois" Metera, (nee-Roelle), 88, of Elyria passed away Thursday April 4, 2013 at EMH Healthcare in Avon following a long illness. She was born December 28, 1924 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Lois was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Lorain and enjoyed collecting antiques and cooking. Survivors include her daughter, Rita "Cookie" (John) Garvin of Akron; son, Thomas (Tammy) Metera of North Ridgeville; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Metera in 2003 a grandson, Jason Metera and a brother, Thomas Roelle. Private graveside services were held at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
