Obituary

Beloved mother Mary Louise Greer (nee Hoffman) passed away after a long illness on Sunday, November 8, 2020.She was born in Wilmington, Deleware on November 14, 1945, she lived in New Castle before moving to Ohio at the age of 8. Mary was a graduate of Oberlin High School in 1963, and a graduate of a local business college in 1969. She graduated with an associates degree from LCCC in 1988. She volunteered during Elyria's Bi-Centennial Celebration, and later volunteered at NASA Lewis Research Center in the visitor's center. Mary also volunteered with the Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall. She was most proud of her family whom she loved and adored. Mary loved going to many restaurants all over Ohio. She rescued many stray cats and loved Clydesdale Horses. She was an avid reader. Mary had a wonderful sense of Humor, a generous heart and a joy for family. Mary was a 55 year resident of Elyria, Ohio. She is survived by her 2 children, daughter Victoria L. (Greer) Campbell of Elyria, and her son, Michael D. Greer of Medina, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Sarah E. Zupancic, Adam M. Zupancic, Trentin Greer, Timothy Greer, and Noah Greer; 3 great grandchildren, Matthew Harrington Jr., Carter Greer, and America Zupancic (Due in January 2021). She was preceded in death by her parents Embree H. Hoffman and Ernest A. Hoffman, as well as her older brother Francis (Buddy) Hoffman. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
