Mary Jo Gilbert (nee Weaver), 72, of Elyria passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center. She was born May 19, 1948 in Lorain and was a 1966 graduate of Lorain St. Mary High School and Mercy School of nursing In Toledo. Mary Jo worked for the Elyria Health Department as an RN. She enjoyed traveling to Amish Country, shopping, reading, but especially loved her family. Survivors include her husband Johnny; daughter Mary Beth ; sons Christopher and Brian all of Elyria; grandchildren Eloise and Carter; sisters Ann (Rip) Fleming, Jean ( Bill) Rowe, Monica (Joe) Majesky; brother Tim (Randi). She was preceded in death by her son Ryan; parents Joseph and Mary Jean Weaver ( nee Turbett); brothers Jim and Michael. Family will receive friends from 5PM until time of service at 7PM Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
