Obituary

Mary Jane Bungard (nee Minnich), 85 of Elyria passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Westlake Rehab and Nursing Center following a lengthy illness. She was born February 16, 1932 in Elyria and was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School class of 1951. Mary enjoyed embroidery , word search puzzles , and she was one of the biggest Cavaliers and Indians fans. Survivors include her daughters Susan Bungard (Alvin Thomas) and Shelley (John) Barbarotta both of Elyria; sons Timothy (Sheila), Terry (Diane) and Scott (Tammie ) all of Elyria; grandchildren Ryan Smith, Randy Smith, Rachael Woodburn, Nicholas Bungard, Jacqueline Salter, Jeremy Bungard, and Courtney Fife; brother Harold Minnich. She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Margaret Minnich (nee Rahrig); sisters Rita and Ruth; brothers Richard and Frank. Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria. 440-322-4626. Memorial Mass 10AM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church 320 Middle Avenue Elyria, Ohio 44035. Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick will be the Celebrant. Burial at a later Date.
