Martin A. Van Meter 65, of Elyria went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 19, 2011. He was born July 20, 1946 in Mason County, WV. Martin was a 1965 North Ridgeville High School graduate. He had served in the U.S. Air Force. Martin retired as a machine operator for Foseco Minsep following thirty six years of service. He was a member of Elyria Baptist Church; and loved golfing, enjoying traveling and sightseeing. Survivors include his wife of forty six years; Joyce E. (nee: Dobbeck) a daughter; Cheryl A. Van Meter of Elyria and two sons; Martin H. of Elyria, and Scott A. (Kelly) of Sheffield Lake, additional survivors include seven grand children; Trent, Cole, Brianna, Joshua, Jenny, Nicholas, Alex, and three brothers; Randall (Ann) of Virginia, Rick of Georgia, and Gregory of Virginia.
