Marshall B. Gates Jr., 66, of Wellington passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side following a brief illness. Marshall was retire from local 310 in 2009, he was a hard working man starting at the age of 10. He farmed for over 40 years, he had a wood business, and several other jobs working outside running machinery. Marshall enjoyed shooting pool , avid coon hunter competing with his beagles, loved the outdoors , farming cutting wood fishing , attending the Lorain County Fair, spending time with family and grandkids , he was always joking and making people laugh. Survivors include his wife Fay (nee Pilarsh); children Beverly (Joel) Rosipko, Jason (Trisha) Gates ;step children Terry (Melanie) Yee ,Jeremy (April) Yee, Josh (Jennifer) Yee; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and several step grandchildren; sister Bonnie (Mike) Burns; brother Alan Gates; brother-in-law Bill Finney; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Beverly and Marshall Gates; daughter Tina Gates; grandson Tyler Gates; sisters Connie Finney, Molly Pearl Gates.
