Mark A. Fox, 58, of Avon, Ohio died following a very long, hard battle with ALS. Mark was a wonderfully talented masonry. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Avon, Ohio and a member of the Bricklayers Union Local 5. Mark is also the son of a foreign war veteran. Mark is survived by son, Mark (Marcy) Martinez of Delano, Florida; daughters, Andrea Fox of Deltona, Florida; and Danielle Sweeney, formerly from Florida. Brothers, Paul Jr. (Karen ) Fox of Avon Lake, Ohio , David Fox of Avon, Ohio, Thomas (Charlene ) Fox of Avon, Ohio and Mathew Fox of Avon Lake, Ohio; Sister, Sue Randall of Avon, Ohio; grandchildren,  Mark, Aidan, Aurora, Joel, NoEmi, Angel, Giovanni; and close friends, John and Kim Herbst. He was preceded in death by Father, Paul Fox of Avon, Ohio; mother, Catherine Rees of Avon, Ohio; son, David Sweeney of Florida, and sister-in-law, Wendy Fox of Avon, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57) in Elyria where closing prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 33601 Detroit Road in Avon, Ohio. Reverend Father Vincent Hawk, pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. Mark left a message concerning David: "I have a son, David, waiting for me in the afterlife. He owed me ten bucks that I'll never see!  Ha – Ha."
