Mark F. Firment, 67, of Elyria passed away Thursday December 9, 2021 at U.H. Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born January 26, 1954 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Mark worked for B.A.S.F. (formerly Harshaw Chemical Company) for 45 years, retiring in 2018 as an Electrician. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing Hobo's and hanging out with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Gail (nee-Handyside); son, Matthew (Jessica) Firment; grandchildren, Matthew Jr. and Kaydence; sisters, Marilyn (Steve) Detmer, Martha Shubert, Judy Snyder and Michelle (Bud) Grubb; brothers, Michael (Connie) Firment and Larry (Judy) Firment. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Stella Firment and a sister, Ann Marie Loutzinhiser. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday December 18, 2021 in the Past Commander's Hall at the Elyria AMVETS Post 32 11087 Middle Ave., Elyria.
