Marilyn L. Hoerig (nee: Meo) 73, of South Lyon, MI. (formerly of Elyria) passed away Thursday December 29, 2011 at St. John Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI following a short illness. She was born January 23, 1938 in Elyria. Marilyn was a 1956 Elyria Catholic High School graduate. she was an accomplished painter and artist; and enjoyed the outdoors, camping and her dog. Survivors include her husband of fifty four years; James E. of South Lyon, MI., two daughters; Dina Hoerig of TX, Lori Jor of MI, a son; James Hoerig of TX, additional survivors include four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister; Rosemary Wiegand (Mike) of Vermilion, OH., and a brother Frank Meo (Sandra) of GA. She was preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Mary (nee: Zangari) Meo, and a brother; Victor Grasso.
