Marie Cerra, (nee-Bieg), of Lakeland FL., and formerly of Elyria passed away on Wednesday July 17, 2013 in Lakeland after a battle with cancer. Marie was born in Aalen, Germany on November 9, 1936. While living in Elyria she was employed by the Worthington Ball Co. and Elyria Manufacturing. In 1988 Marie and her husband moved to Lakeland for their retirement. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved the beach, gardening and traveling. She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alois and Liesel Bieg. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Sam Cerra; brother, Horst Bieg; sister-in-law, Christel Bieg; aunt, Mina Nardi; son, Jack Cerra; daughter-in-law, Glenda Cerra; daughter, Heidi Braddock; son-in-law, Max Braddock; son, Tony Cerra; daughter-in-law, Molly Cerra; son, Sam Cerra; daughter-in-law, Debby Cerra; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
