Marianne Burnsworth (nee Sapp) 70 of Elyria passed away Saturday March 29,2014 at University Hospitals of Elyria, with her family by her side. She was born September 7 , 1943 in Elyria. She was a graduate of Admiral King High School. Marianne was a very strong and forgiving woman. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church , past member of American Legion , Amvets and IAV. Marianne was a fabulous baker , cook , and gardener she also was an animal lover , lover of music , Gone with the Wind a collector of music boxes , antique dishes , she also loved to read and spending time with her family and adored her grandkids. Survivors include her husband of 51 years Wilbert, son Russell (Jody) of Lorain , sister Sue Spangler of Elyria , brothers Tom of Oakland, California , Joseph of Cleveland , and Mickey of Elyria, grandchildren Shane (Katie) , Amber (Gary) Wager , Taryn Moore and 1 great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Wanda (nee Wojtowicz),and brother Johnny. Family will receive friends 4-7PM Tuesday April 1, 2014 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626 , where funeral services will be held Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 11AM. Pastor Young of Liberty Baptist Church will officiate.
