Margie M. Summers (nee Carroll), 93, of Elyria passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was born February 5, 1927 in Detroit, MI. Margie worked for GM in Parma for over 31 years. She enjoyed going to casinos , lottery,. Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and also enjoyed watching Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers.. Everyone that knew her loved her and called her "Granny" Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Freligh of Sheffield Village, Barbara (Dale) Kuzak of Elyria; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Deanna Summers. She was preceded in death by her parents Olin and Alice Carroll (nee Varner); sons, Roger and Ronald; great granddaughter, Payton Haskiell; brother Charles Rodgers; companion, Levi Sell. Family will receive friends 3PM until time of service at 5PM Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
