Margaret E. Zlatkowski, (nee-Motta), 96, of Elyria passed away peacefully on Monday June 16, 2014 at her son's home in Prosperity, SC.. Born November 26, 1917 in Collinwood, OH., she was a lifelong Elyria resident. Margaret was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton and enjoyed gardening and taking long walks around Carlisle Township. Survivors include her sons, Jerry Zlatkowski of Grafton and Gene Zlatkowski of Prosperity, SC.; granddaughter, Michele (Michael) Rennie of Wellington; great-Granddaughter Melissa Rennie (Drew Basil) of Columbus; sister, Mary Knepper of Jupiter, FL.; sister-in-laws, Teresa Motto of Sullivan and Helen Motta of Grafton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1988, parents, Samuel and Bertha (nee-Frabotta) Motta, daughter-in-law, Alice Zlatkowski, brothers, Henry Motto and Edward Motta and sisters, Olivia Leonard and Mabel Motta. The family will receive friends on Thursday June 19, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the gathering area of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 708 Erie St., Grafton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of the Church. The Rev. Father John P. Seabold, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria. 322-4626.
