Margaret E. Steffani, (nee-Brotherton), 83, of Elyria passed away Monday July 9, 2012 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home in Avon following a long illness. She was born July 31, 1928 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Margaret enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Larry; daughters, Margaret Carver and Cathy Prosser both of Bellevue and Earlene O'Connor of Lorain; son, Earl Eddington of Elyria; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Eddington and brothers, Edward and Ernie Brotherton. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
