Margaret Ellen Sigsworth (nee Ritsko),94 of North Ridgeville,Ohio passed away with family at her bedside on Thursday March 23, 2017 at the Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a brief illness. Margaret was born on November 2, 1922 in Cleveland,Ohio and moved to North Ridgeville in 1935 with her mother Margaret Curran. Following High School graduation, she worked for Ridge Tool Co. in North Ridgeville. Later, Margaret spent several years as the North Ridgeville correspondent for the Lorain Journal. On many occasions, she was a soprano soloist. She sold Avon products for 49 years and contributed her time & talent to many organizations over the years. What Margaret cherished most was the time she spent with her family. She was very active with her children and grand-children's activities. She crocheted beautiful rag rugs for family as her grandmother had, enjoyed sewing and especially gardening in her lupine-perennial bed. Margaret's never ending smile and the love she shared with her family & friends will be sadly missed. She is survived by : daughters Kathleen (Michael) Cousino of Greer, S.C., Diane (Gary) Myers of North Ridgeville, Claudia Sigsworth of Fairview Park, Stephanie Davidson of North Ridgeville, Andrea (David) Phillips of Chesapeake,VA.; son Richard (Pauline) of Wiersdale,FL.; 21 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John of 39 years; infant daughter Sheryl Ann and son Michael. Family will receive friends 10 AM until time of Memorial Service at 11 AM Saturday April 22, 2017 at Fields United Methodist Church, 34077 Lorain Rd. North Ridgeville,Ohio 44039. This has been Margaret's home Church since her marriage to John in 1945. Pastor Tom Joyce will officiate. Burial will follow in Fields Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fields United Methodist Church. Arrangements were entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria, 440-322-4626.
