Marcella (Marci) Kilfoyle, (nee Sarlouis) 84, of Elyria passed away, March 25, 2013 at the Elyria Wesleyan Village. Marci attended St. Mary's school in Akron. She was a Rosy the Riveter at B. F. Goodrich in Akron during the latter part of WWII. She married William Kilfoyle on October 13th, 1952. They were married for 61 years. As a public speaker, in 1966 she was commissioned by the State of Ohio for a program developed by Dr. and Mrs. Wilke, authors of the book "Wonders of Sex" to encourage sex education with dignity. She was the First female Grand Jury Foreman in Lorain County in April 1977. She had several jobs in Elyria, (Bobels, Amherst Fabrics), when she returned to the workforce after raising her six children. She was a Private Investigator for Research Associates in Westlake for 10 years, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Study Club and an active lector at St. Mary's of Elyria. She volunteered at Elyria Memorial Hospital for many years. She enjoyed traveling and camping. She was an accomplished seamstress, a musician, golfer and decorator. She will always be remembered for her incredible sense of humor and laughter. She and Bill had six children. Mike Kilfoyle (Lynn) , Jim Kilfoyle, Peggy Mann (Gary), Pat Amsden (Mike-deceased) , Joan Hill (Darrell), and Katie Remis (Tom). Her life is celebrated by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who recognize her as the Greatest Granny Ever.
