Magdalene Forsyth (Nee Harkinish), 86, of Olmsted Twp. passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her home. She was born April 6, 1934 in Spangler, PA. She was a 1951 graduate of Barnesboro High School and a 1955 graduate of Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Johnstown, PA. Magdalene taught at John Marshall High School and Polaris Vocational Center. She worked as an RN at Southwest General Hospital. Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca (James) Coddington of Fayetteville, TN. , Elizabeth (Richard) Dodson of Elyria; son, Mark of Olmsted Falls; grandchildren, Madeline, Christopher, and Julia; great grandchildren, Bryleigh and Mia.; sister, Kathryn Harkinish of Sonoma, CA.; brother, George Harkinish of Glen Burnie, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Anna Harkinish (nee Keblesh); daughter, Debbie Bennett; sister, Barbara Smith; brother, John Harkinish. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Jude Catholic Church 590 Poplar St. Elyria, Ohio 44035. Per CDC guidelines social distancing will be observed. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Rev.Fr. Joseph Scalco CSJ pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial St. Mary Cemetery (Elyria).
