Lyle B. Reichert, 93, of Elyria passed away Saturday May 30, 2015 UH Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born July 24, 1921 in Fremont and was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Lyle was the owner of the Reichert Construction Co. for 50 years. He enjoyed spending winters in Ft. Myers, FL., served in the United States Coast Guard, was active with the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Elyria Rotary Club and the Elyria Elks Lodge 778. Survivors include his son, Jeff Reichert of Elyria; granddaughter, Perrin; sister-in-law, Eleanor Huss of Santa Rosa, CA; nieces, Sherry Huss of Occidental, CA. and Jackie Huss-Hallerberg of Sebastopol, CA.. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ann in 1997, sister, Lillian Folk, brothers, Darwin and Bob Reichert and Joe Nesbitt. Friends will be received Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Friday June 5, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Chuck Behrens, Chaplain of the Hospice of the Western Reserve will Officiate.
