Lydia Remming, (nee-Rinicella), 87, of Elyria passed away Saturday March 23, 2013 at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a brief illness. She was born December 9, 1925 in Garfield Heights and has been a Elyria resident for 25 years, coming from New York. Lydia was employed as a sales associate at the former Higbee Co. in Elyria for 18 years, and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Elyria. Survivors include her sisters, Mary Cardamone of Elyria and Micki Schmidt of Toledo; brother, Anthony Rinicella of Wickliffe; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bent Remming in 1969, sons, Scott and Thomas Carroll and a sister, Frances Rinicella. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday April 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Church 590 Poplar St., Elyria. The Rev. Fr. Frank P. Kosem will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private.
