Lulu B. Woods (nee: Maley) 82, went home to be with the Lord with her loving and devoted son Bill Jr. at her side on Tuesday March 19, 2019 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born April 7, 1936 in Grafton, WV. Lu worked as the head cook for North Ridgeville Schools and was a member of River of Life Ministries. Lu loved spending time with family and friends; she always had the passion to help others. Lu enjoyed shopping, watching movies, travel and flower gardening. Survivors include two sons; Bill Woods Jr. of Elyria, Reverend David G. Woods (Karen) of Hopewell, VA. Additional survivors include two grandchildren; Joshua Woods (Rebekah), Andréa Hopster (Matt), three great grandchildren, seven brothers; Ronnie (Eva Mae), Tom (Katie), Jerry (the late Kay), John (Pat), Larry (Peggy), Joe (Gerry), Keith (Mary). Lu was preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years; William R. Woods Sr., her parents; Kelso and Orpha (nee: McCollough) Maley, and three sisters; Lucille Funk, Maxine Fury, Madeline Hooke. A Celebration of Lu's life will be Noon on Saturday March 23, 2019 at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 523 East Broad St. Elyria, OH 44035 where her son; Rev. David G. Woods will officiate.
