Louise K. Shisler (nee Bauer), 89, of Elyria passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born March 21, 1930 in Elyria, and was a 1947 graduate of Elyria High School. Louise worked for the Woodstock Public Library as an officer manager for 25 years until she retired in 1992. She was a member of The Women's Senior fellowship, attended Senior exercise program at St. John's Church. Louise enjoyed reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters Kathryn (Doug) Harrod of Genoa City, WI., and Donna (Jim ) Backs of Elyria; son Wayne (Joanne) of Naperville, IL.; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; parents Fred and Ella Bauer (nee Stranahan); sister Ruth (William); brother Harold (Anne) and Gilbert. There will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers family suggests those who wish may make donations to Elyria Public Library or Donor's choice.
