Louis Joseph Grilli Jr. 76, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 7, 2019 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1943 in Troy, OH. Lou was a Clearview High School graduate, and then proudly served with The United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. He treasured spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Lou lived his life to the fullest; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his loving wife of forty years; Joann Lee (nee: Gawlik), daughters; Tina M. Reasons (Tony), Lisa L. Gagne, sons; Richard B. Grilli, Bob King (Julie), additional survivors include grandchildren; Kahla, Illysa, Andrew, Daniel, Shane, Brittney, Jessica, great grandchildren; Gabrihela, Ayvion, sisters; JoAnna Anthony (Jim), Terry Campbell (John), a brother; Mark A. Grilli (Joyce), and several nieces and nephews. Lou was preceded in death by his parents; Louis Joseph Sr. and Letitia Ann (nee: Brown) Grilli. The family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 7:45 PM Saturday November 9, 2019 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where V.F.W. Post #1079 will provide full military honors at 7:45 PM on Saturday with a Celebration of Lou's life immediately following military honors.
