Lorna Woodruff-Costin (nee: Dewhurst) 91, of Elyria passed away Thursday March 11, 2021 at The Abbewood in Elyria following a brief illness. She was born January 13, 1930 in Elyria. Lorna was a 1947 Elyria High School graduate; she retired in 1985 from Pioneer Federal Savings and Loan as Vice President of Operations. Lorna was a member of Community United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters; Terri Knapp (Ed) of Elyria, Patti Kovach (Tom) of Elyria. Additional survivors include two grandchildren; Katie Balog (Chris), Audrey Kovach, a great grandchild; Allison Balog, and two nephews; Tom Bates of North Carolina, Roger Stephen (Vanessa) of Florida. Lorna was preceded in death by her husbands; Ed Woodruff and Charles Costin, her parents; Paul F. and Mildred I. (nee: Glew) Dewhurst, two sisters; Patricia Bates and Eileen Dewhurst. Funeral services are private. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Lorna's memory be sent to Heartland Hospice 4807 Rockside Rd. STE 110 Independence, OH 44131.
