Lorena J. DeFilippo, (nee-Arnal), 90, of Vermilion passed away Saturday January 28, 2017 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a brief illness. She was born December 19, 1926 in Tiltonsville, OH.. Lorena was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Elyria and enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Debra (Arthur) Deremiah, Jerri (Kevin) Kauffman, Vicki (Charles) Stapleton and Nadine (Christopher) Kallas; sons, Leonard (Cindy) DeFilippo and Michael (Amy) DeFilippo; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Nyikes, Marlene Kaszei and Margaret Pierson; brother, Rene Arnal. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent on January 12, 2017, sisters, Joyce Hannah and Shirley Baker and a brother, Stephan Arnal. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday February 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Church 590 Poplar St., Elyria. The Rev. Fr. Robert Sanson will be the Celebrant.
