Lois E. Goldsmith (nee: Tanner) 85, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday May 26, 2026 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange following a brief illness. She was born in Reed, KY. Lois enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, working puzzles and riding in the family boat. Survivors include two daughters; Victoria J. Holmes (John) of Lexington, OH, Constance J. Weichman (Steve) of Lexington, OH., two sons; Jay Daniel (Shelley) of LaGrange, Jaymes Allen (Erin) of Trinity, FL.

Additional survivors include ten grand children five great grandchildren, and two sisters; Thurma Jean and Hope. Lois was preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years; Jay Jr., a son; David Jaymes, her parents; Thurman Tanner and Eleanor Johnson(nee: Billings), and two sisters; Patsy Rhome and Stephanie Lemon. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Sunday May 31, 2026 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626 where funeral services will be at 7:00 PM immediately following visitation. Reverend Scott Canfield will officiate. Burial will be private at River Road Cemetery in LaGrange.
