Lois J. Bryan,(nee-Powis), 80, of Elyria passed away Sunday October 18, 2015 at O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville following a long illness. She was born March 11, 1935 in Richeyville, PA. and was a Elyria resident for most of her life. Lois and her late husband were formerly pastors of the Living Faith Christian Center in Elyria and she enjoyed sewing. Survivors include her daughters, Diana Shulik of Eastlake, Cathy (Tom) Costello, Kim Bunton, and Marietta (Brian) Charley all of Elyria; sons, Dallas (Anna) Bryan Jr. of Cleveland and John (Danielle) Bryan of North Ridgeville; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Marietta Smrdel of Rittman; brothers, Richard Powis of North Canton and Walter Powis of Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Dallas Bryan Sr. in 2006. The family will receive friends on Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Funeral Services will be Saturday October 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. George Gribben, pastor of the Elyria Community Church of the Nazarene will Officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the west unit of O'Neill Healthcare.
