Lloyd Franklin "Frank" Carroll 64, of Elyria passed away at home on Friday January 22, 2016 following brief illness. He was born October 23, 1951 in Cleveland. Frank was a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division in the U.S. Army. He retired from Ridge Tool as a Metrologist following forty two years of service. Frank attended St. Mary Church in Elyria. He was member of American Legion Post #12, and enjoyed deer hunting, and was an animal lover. Survivors include his wife whom he married September 15, 1973; Diana (nee: Smith), a daughter; Chrystal Legan (Scott) of Westlake, a son; David Carroll of Elyria. Additional survivors include a granddaughter; Kylie, a sister; Debbie Belding of Seville, and a brother; Charles Carroll of Elyria. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Roxanne (nee: Shisler) Carroll, and two brothers; Melvin and Lash Carroll. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Monday January 25, 2016 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria where V.F.W. Post # 1079 will provide full military honors.
