Linda A. Shafer, (nee-Dodrill), 67, of Avon Lake and formerly of Grafton passed away Thursday March 21, 2024 at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 26, 1956 in Indiana, Pennsylvania and was a Lorain County resident for most of her life. Linda was a 1974 graduate of Elyria High School and became an entrepreneur, owning several businesses throughout her career. She loved going to her "happy place", Cedar Point, and also going to hear bands play with her friends. Survivors include her daughter, Megan Shafer-Gonzalez (Rick), and her granddaughters, Brooklyn and Madison Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Shafer, son, David Shafer and her parents, Willie and Doris Dodrill. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday March 28, 2024 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
