Lesta C. Vipperman, (nee-White), 83, of Amherst passed away Friday August 10, 2018 at U.H. Elyria Medical Center following a long illness. She was born March 14, 1935 and lived most of her life in the Elyria/Amherst areas. Lesta was a member of the Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville, was an active member of Alanon and enjoyed playing canasta with her friends and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Zirkle; sons, Edward Vipperman, Russell "Rusty" Vipperman and Jesse Vipperman Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Fonda Wright, Linda Cottrill and Carol Hamm; brothers, Cebert and Dean White. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse in 1983, 2 sisters and 6 brothers. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 14, 2018 in the funeral home. Pastor Ray Carpenter will Officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
