Please call to confirm receipt and also with the charges Lena "Lee" M. Severns, (nee-Perri), passed away Friday August 6, 2021 at the age of 91 at Life Care Center of Medina surrounded by family. She was born December 24, 1929 in Cleveland, moving to Belden at a young age. She graduated from Belden High School and married the love of her life Gerald "Jerry" on November 13, 1948 at Immaculate Conception Church in Grafton. A love story that lasted over 72 years. They resided in Grafton for 67 years. Lee worked at Sears Roebuck and Company in Elyria in the credit department until the birth of their first child. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception/Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton and was a past member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Survivors include her son, Gerald (Beverly) Severns Jr.; daughter, Ellen (Ken) Yacobozzi; grandsons, Christopher (Theresa) Yacobozzi and Nicholas (Erica) Yacobozzi; sister, Anne Scagliozzo. Lee was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald, her parents, Michael and Jenni (nee-Fiore), brothers, Anthony and Michael Palazzi and sister, Mary Kobb. Lee was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her family was most important in her life and she cherished the time she spent with them. Lee was an excellent cook and baker and typical Italian always wanting to feed everyone. She loved traveling with her husband after his retirement and traveled to Hawaii, Australia, a Mediterranean Cruise among other places throughout the United States. She loved people and was loved by everyone she met. The family wishes to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Medina for the exceptional care and compassion they gave Lee and the family. She will be missed by all. The family will receive friends on Friday August 13, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the Gathering Area of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 708 Erie St., Grafton. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of the Church. The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, pastor will be the Celebrant. Christian Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Grafton. Contributions may be made in Lee's name to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church or helping Hands Ministry of the Church.
