Lee A. Hess, (nee-Barber), 63, of LaGrange passed away Sunday September 29, 2013 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a long illness. She was born May 23, 1950 in Lakewood and was a LaGrange resident for the past 20 years. Lee was the owner and operator of Expressly Yours Cake Decorating in LaGrange for the past 20 years, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Eaton Township. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Michael; daughters, Mickey Williams of Grafton, Krissi Duchoslav and Amanda Hess both of LaGrange; son, Allen Mixter of Brookpark; grandchildren, Zach, Luke, Hailey and Noah; sister, Tracy Gallagher of Lakewood; brother, Scott Unik of Hilton Head, SC.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Unik and Jim Barber. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Daniel Wright will Officiate. Burial will be at Pittsfield Cemetery, Pittsfield Township.
