Lawrence S. "Larry" Tomasheski, 74, of Oberlin passed away Sunday May 20, 2018 at U.H. Elyria Medical Center following a long illness. He was born June 22, 1943 in Elyria and was a lifelong area resident. Larry was an assembler at the Murray Ridge Workshop for many years and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. He also was an avid Midview High School sports fan and was an animal lover, especially his dog Polly. Survivors include his sisters, Carol (James) Kerstetter and Linda (Richard) Lakocy; brother, Daniel (Bette Jo) Tomasheski and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen Tomasheski. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday May 25, 2018 at St. Agnes Church 611 Lake Ave., Elyria. The Rev. Fr. Albert Veigas, pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
