Lawrence A. Seeley, 86, of Elyria passed away Tuesday November 19, 2019, at O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville following a brief illness. He was born June 11, 1933 in Brighton and was a lifelong Elyria/Lorain area resident. Larry was employed at the Ridge Tool Company for 39 years, retiring in 1995 as a machine repairman. He was a United States Army veteran, a member of the Elyria Senior Men's Fellowship and enjoyed walking at the mall. Survivors include his daughter, Gail Babcock; sons, John (Debbie) Seeley and Glenn Seeley; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Seeley, Stephanie (Rick) Nigro, Amanda Sword, Brian (Amy) Seeley, Kara Coleman and Kevin Seeley; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Marge Funk and a brother, Jim Seeley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne on September 20, 2018, sisters, Jean Gaylord and Joan Babcock and a brother, David Seeley. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday November 26, 2019 in the funeral home. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
