Larry P. Smith, 70, of LaGrange passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 4, 2018 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center. He was born February 2, 1948 in Weston, WV. Larry was a Supervisor for Valley City Steel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hot rods and old cars. Survivors include his wife Linda (nee Moulder); daughters Corinna (Jeff) Diederich of LaGrange, June Hardman of Grafton, Carol Powell and Michelle Hardman both of Elyria; sons Larry "Dwayne"( Laurie) of Elyria Twp, David (Debbie) of Brunswick, Darrell (Ericka) of Spencer; 26 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers Darrell of Jackson, Jimmy (Sharon) of Grafton. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Margurite (nee Hurst); grandson Justus; sister Janet Moss; brothers Raymond and Dwayne. Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
