Larry D. Martin, Sr., AKA "The Dude," 77, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 in Murrels Inlet, South Carolina. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on October 24, 1947 to parents Johnnie and Lydia (nee: Means). Larry graduated from West Tech High School and later worked for Delta Chemical as a Chemical Fire Proofer. He retired from Strongsville City Schools after 20 years of service. He loved antique cars, camping, dancing, and karaoke. Those who knew him will miss his great sense of humor, his smiling face, and charismatic personality. Survivors include his daughters, Shannon and Therese Martin; sons, Larry Jr., Vaughn (Jackie), Brian; sisters, Arlene, Janice; brothers, Jeff (Tammy), Vaughn; grandchildren, Michael Tallentire and Marissa Martin; great-granddaughter, Amelia, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at state route 57) in Elyria.
