Kevin S. Fischer 69, of Wakeman passed away Saturday September 11, 2021 at the Scenic Pointe Nursing Home in Millersburg following a long illness. He was born July 13, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI. Kevin served in the U.S. Army and had worked as an Aero Space Mechanic at NASA. He loved fishing, hunting, outdoors, and time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of forty two years; Kathy J. (nee:Trumphour), three sons; Steven O. Johnson (Wendy) of Salt Lake City, UT., Shane R. Fischer of Wellington, Kyle S. Fischer (Cynthia) of Norwalk. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister; Kim Oliver (Jerry) of Elyria. Kevin was preceded death by his parents; Harvey and Afton Fischer. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Friday September 17, 2021 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where V.F.W. Post# 1079 will provide full military honors at 6:00 PM Friday. Burial will be private at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
