Beloved wife of the late Howard Foxman and beloved sister of Benny Peterson of Denmark. Stepmother of Sherri Foxman and Stephen Foxman of Philadelphia. Ketty was a trapeze artist and member of Les Oriols, a European aerial act for over 17 years. Starting at 15, taught by her future husband and his grandfather while she went to school to be a seamstress, she went on to travel the world with this troupe. At the request of the Steel Pier owner in Atlantic City, George A. Hamid Sr., she and her husband came to America in 1951, and they never looked back. The Les Oriols performed on 43 television shows, including Ed Sullivan, working with all kinds of clubs (e.g., the Roxy in New York City) and with acts like the Flying Wallendas. She was written up in TV guide and in many other publications nationally and internationally. Ketty came from New Jersey to Ohio, living in Oberlin, Wellington and finally in Elyria. In 1977, she married Howard Foxman, former owner of Loomis Camera Co., where she resided for more than 30 years. She retired from performing in 1968.
